This is sheet music, the traditionally recognised form of depicting a musical score, it's the way that guitarists learning musical theory or taking grades would be expected to read music.
However, anyone in their right mind that wanted to learn a song would use tablature. This simply shows six lines, representing the six strings of the guitar and represents each note with a number, corresponding to the fret on the guitar...so where the first line says '2' you would play the 2nd fret on the 3rd highest string. simples!
