Busking

busking is a form of:
busk
verb /bəsk/
busked, past participle; busked, past tense; busking, present participle; busks, 3rd person singular present
  1. Play music or otherwise perform for voluntary donations in the street or in subways
    • - the group began by busking on Philadelphia sidewalks
    • - busking was a real means of living
  2. Improvise

Busking is something I find really interesting, both the activity itself and the idea of busking, using your talent, or not in some cases, to earn money in public places.

I think without busking and street performers, cities could be a bit dull, some places are famed for their street performers and I like that there it is seen as a good thing.

I have a lot of time for brilliant street performers as I think it would be a difficult thing to do, due to the amount people that would be going past and the huge potential for heckling and grief. I feel people don't give them enough time because often people busking are homeless, but it's interesting to think that , performers like James Morrison used to be homeless are were discovered due to busking in order to get by.
